The Sporting Project x Hudson Clearwater NYC
The Sporting Project gals are at it again having just wrapped up the second edition of their insanely popular pop-up dinner series centered around Paris Fashion Week. This time, Tara and Jenny brought New York’s Hudson Clearwater chef and bar staff over to Paris for the week.
To kick off their time in Paris, Hudson Clearwater and The Sporting Project hosted a private cocktail party for Details Magazine. It was a fabulous way to get to try the cocktails and small bites before the main event. Cocktails like « Calacas » made of spicy infused tequila, fresh beet and lime juice, agave and a chili salted rim was just one of many mixed up for the evening. Small bites included the newest American caviar sensation- Pointy Snout Caviar- which is soon to be available at the bars and restaurants by the Experimental Cocktail Group. Plus, the sultry, folky live music of The Bones of J.R. Jones set the perfect tone for the night.
For the pop-up dinner, held again at the Marais’ veggie heaven, Bob’s Kitchen, Hudson Clearwater in NYC adapted to the no-meat environment by taking influence from their classic dishes and recreating them with fresh veggies and grains from Paris’ outdoor markets. With a simple four-course menu plus an amuse bouche to begin and handmade chocolates at the end, this dinner was absolutely delicious. I loved the cauliflower soup with mushrooms, and the lentils with a dusting of parmesan cheese.
The last TSP dinner hosted at Bob’s Kitchen in collaboration with The Fat Radish was a huge success, and I am certain the next one will be the same. Pop up dinners seem to be all the rage in Paris lately, but I love that TSP is bringing us something unique- NYC delivered straight to the City of Lights. It doesn’t get much cooler than that.
Our verdict? « Guilty of Talent » of course!
